Hey everyone! I've been a long-time lurker on the forums. After all the events in 2020, I truly see how important it is to put yourself in the driver's seat to control your destiny for financial independence. You can't depend on anyone but yourself. Ive been building a new skill with videography the past year. I recently shot a few short videos for a small business for their social media page. It’s something I’ve always wanted to do and figure it could be scalable.

what are your next 3 actions items that will move you toward your goal?

if you are not sure of your goal, back up and answer 'what is my why?'.

then each week, decide the 3 big IMPACTFUL things you will do to achieve your goal.
then get them done.

As for learning and taking action goes, here is what I've done so far:

Asking the neighbor to shoot the video for her was my first action. Honestly, I thought she would laugh it off but she agreed and actually enjoyed the finished product.
I'm currently learning from online resources and taking zoom lessons with a good friend on video editing.
I determined I'm interested. I am not sure of my goal as I'm still developing my skill in video editing.

The 3 Big Impactful Things For this upcoming week:
1. Create an online portfolio of the samples I've shot.
2. Ask another business owner if they need any content for their social media. Handle any rejections with given contact information if they are interested in the future.
3. Learn a new transition (speed ramping) shot to increase my skill in video editing.

@Profit23 ! ..... let's get these more specific .... create an online portfolio on what platform? how many samples do you need to pull? ...... be real specific ....

1. this week i made an online portfolio w/ the starter template on ______ and added 5 of my best samples with one sentence captions for each
2. this week i asked 3 business owners how they are able to create their content for their social media. talk through some ideas for how you do it. then ask if they need help or if you could help them do theirs faster so they could focus on their business.
3. this week I spent 1 hour of focused learning time and 1 hour focused practice time learning speed ramping to take my video skills from a 5 to a 5.5
