So my name is Joey Hildebrandt and i'm currently majoring in finance with a concentration in real estate. I've lurked this forums for a little bit now and have recently been getting active in it as I progress in my business I am developing with a partner. I was suspended for a semester and a half for getting a 3rd drinking violation right after making dean's list and winning the secretary position for the universities student government as a freshman. I will be going back next semester but being suspended was the best thing that has ever happened to me.
In my time off, I have realized what college is for. College is designed to kill your ambition, it's to make you surround yourself with people who want to go and work a day job or work for someone else and possibly work their way up into some corporate office or maybe (in 30 years) be the CEO. It makes you stagnant in life, and just like water is when it becomes still, life too becomes full of bacteria.
I am currently starting a real estate investment company in my area that I grew up in and fully understand (my college is also in the town over) and focusing all of my time and efforts towards living a fast lane lifestyle. I have let go of the old social life I was involved in, quit drinking (mostly), quit partying, and really just gave up anything that isn't helping me achieve my goals. All of my time is devoted to this business, researching and reading, and (i guess school). I am on this forum to share the knowledge I gain through my endeavors while also hoping to learn from all of you as well. I look forward to our futures.
