I wrote this just to get my thoughts on paper, it may be complete BS, or gold. I don't know, I've just made a casual observation through about an hour of reserach. While my application of the information may be flawed, the informatin I formulated it on is most definitely NOT flawed, and that is what I wanted to share mainly.
I recently attended BnP and it has really opened my eyes. There were a lot of great presentations that really shared alot of valuable information! Definitely worth it.
One of the things that BnP has opened my eye too, is FINDING potential in markets.
I've been looking at lead generation recently, so I am going to share, how my view has changed about it:
Lead Generation is an extremely fastlane vehicle and has the potential to make millions.
I previously did reserach on the subject, but concluded that it wasn't worth it.I abandoned hope for jumping into the market. It's over saturated, too crowded, etc etc. So I gave up.
However, there was one statement that really changed my views at BnP:
Solve a problem, and you have a business.
With this I looked at Lead generation from a different point of view. Instead of looking at different lead generation websites, that already had the market crushed, I looked at it from a problem solving point of view.
I started general, by defining Generational problems,
(IE: Generation X, Babyboomers, Generation Y, etc)
From there I got more specific, defining more specific problems.
When I found something that potential, I did a google search.
The first one astounded me... I seriously thought to my self... "This is the number 2 ranked site? Holy hell, it looked like it was designed in notepad in 1999)" This site was obviously collecting leads, they had a call here graphic, with the phone number, but was there was no email address collecting, information collecting, or anything) Just a phone number saying talk to a xxxx advisor call here.
Using this method, I've determined their are most definitely new lead generation markets that haven't been fully tapped yet.
If you are looking to start a lead generation website, start getting creative, instead of trying to copy industries, start trying to solve problems.
