Lacey Act declaration: Importing wood products into the US

Hi there,

I'm getting ready to import some goods made of wood into the US, and I stumbled on the Lacey Act. This law forces any importer to submit a declaration of the origin of the wood and some other data points. My Chinese supplier told me she's never heard of this, and she's been in the business for +6 years.

Does anyone have experience with this?
