Hey guys, it's great to finally join the forum I've been reading about. I'm a 26 year old guy in NC who learned a lot in college....or at least I thought I did until I left and met my mentor while I was in grad-school. He is a true rags to riches story (seriously). He inspired me, taught me (and still is), and reignited my dreams that college had crushed.
I'm happy to say that I've learned more since graduating than I did through expensive lectures and I am looking forward to growing and learning more with everyone here!
As for myself and my goals here is a little summary. Hopefully if you're reading this you'll send me a quick message.
I grew up in a lower income middle class family (dad: teacher, mom: secretary). I always knew I wanted much much more than my parents had, unfortunately I wasn't sure how to get from A to B. So I bought into the 'slow lane' mindset. I made good grades, got into college, graduated once, went to grad school and graduated again. So currently I have two very expensive pieces of paper. I met my mentor in a chance meeting at my grad school income job: radioshack. I knew him for a few months and started learning there was more than I thought about him. He introduced me to dreaming big. I quit my job and was working with him in less than 72 hours, because I wanted more.
(we'll try to keep this short)
During college I asked my parents more than once. What's the point? You get an education, you get a 9-5 job that you work, come home, sleep, and repeat for the rest of your life. I just didn't get the point, but I didn't know any better until much later.
I've been accelerating my life for 2 years and honestly didn't realize there was more to life until then. My goals are to pay off my house and live a life astronomically different than the demographic average of my friends I grew up with. It's much more specific than that, but those ends are what matter. I'm working on a 'business system'. That's about it, PM me for more!
