My son could have bought some stock in headphones of how many pairs he's gone through. I understand completely.

My earphones' wires used to go south as well.

Then a friend showed me this video:

And I've never had wire problems again.
Where were you when I made this thread? Would've saved me some time, I'll definitely use that method for my earbuds.

Stop buying cheap a$$ earbuds and take care of the ones you do have.

I've said this many time on Reddit but aside from my smartphone, AirPods are single-handedly the best tech product I have ever purchased. If I lost mine today I'd buy another pair tomorrow.

Before you get all huffy about having to pay for quality things, go actually try them.

We're in an entrepreneurship forum FFS.
I take care of the ones I have, I'm not irresponsible with them and use them as they were intended.

I don't doubt airpods are great as many have already attested to this but I'm not a fan of wireless earbuds, regardless I've already made a purchase for 10 earbuds at a cheap price.

Whati about free replacement if they lose sound quality within 5 years? Shure are pretty reliable but in the $100 can be I think.
Better quality costs more, initally. Although if you buy a new replacement every year, how long before it becomes effective to spend the extra money?

Still nope. Forking out more than $100 at once has a huge psychological barrier.
Since the earbuds I've cost $10 and let's say they last 1 year each.
If I replace it every year for 5 yrs, it's still only $50....

Regarding quality of sound, it's true the high-end earphones/headphones might provide better audio output, but then, for casual users like me, it's not worth it. They also suffer from the effect of diminishing returns in terms of $ : quality ratio.

Of course, if one is a pro musician or composes songs, I can understand forking out 4-digit for some exotic earphones.

I used to have the same problem years ago over and over buying new earbuds. Do you keep buying the same brand?
I used to and then I switched up but it made no difference.

I made this thread when the ones from another brand stopped working.

I used to go through headphones constantly although i was wearing them while riding motorcycle. If you're running or being very active that may be part of the reason.

Apple headphones last very well I've seen the wires fray and the headphones still worked!
