I've lived in limbo long enough. My (FTE) was reading "Unscripted ".
Like the book says;
"Disruptive change doesn't come and spark one day and flame out the next - It comes from the depths of your heart and soul..."
and the reward for it is "owning your time & thoughts while curating your existence."
Well I want that.
To move from the "want to be" category firmly into the "what your are" camp.
I've been a sidewalker, much like MJ I took menial jobs that were "beneath" me because I always knew what a trap the seemingly "right" slow lane path was. A normal job is death to the entrepreneurial spirit.
"If anyone says you need four or five decades to earn your freedom...check out."
But just because you're not in the slow lane, does not mean that you are in the fast lane.
I've reached my FTE, my "no more, I've had it, I can't live like this anymore,"
I've had "enough of the nail" and will live out my entrepreneur and fast lane identity.
My micro processes will inform and guide my macro actions.
I now know the "brain is the battlefield for success" and will use the "placebo override" to "suffer the pain of discipline rather than the pain of regret."
"Lost time is never found again" and I commit to "retiring" before I'm out of my thirties (in 6 years.)
I will "act until my echo" and keep acting and keep turning the gumball machine handle until it hits gold.
I know MJ writes "lots of people show up on the forum saying I'll report back in 30 days...only to never be heard from again."
I know this post may sound overly dramatic... but I have REALLY struggled with some huge personal and economic issues over the past 3 years.
It made me think "maybe I am meant to just be a salesman, to go sell solar panels door to door or something."
Well ***k that! No more! I've done the hard work required over the past 3 years, made so many mistakes, tried and failed, and then failed some more.
And "Time will either reward or expose you."
So I'm going to write a post a month from now titled, "What I learned from making 30k cold calls in 30 days." (I know lots of people don't like cold calls, but I made 1k calls and got 1 paying client, so it's time to kick start my success plan with massive action.)
I know what needs to be done and will use the placebo affect to override my brain into massive action despite the doubt.
Thanks to MJ and all the wonderful contributors that make up this community who share support and ideas (I've lurked here over the years).
I will report back and contribute a detailed report on the data I learned. And will start sharing the (few) things I know about the fast lane and entrepreneurship and I will attend the 2018 summit. Thanks!
