Is Youtube a numbers game?

I've read that a niche website is basically just a numbers game. Sooner or later, if you publish enough articles (provided the keyword research is right) you will succeed.

Now I'm wondering if it's similar with Youtube. Do you just have to post a lot of videos (if they are good quality ...) and you will succeed sooner or later? Or is it different with Youtube?

What is your opinion on this?

Thanks.

Quality is more important than quantity, which you are implying in your post when you describe good quality videos as a prerequisite. I'm sure the algorithm appreciates regular uploads (consistency that meets viewer expectations) but it does not reward quantity for its own sake. It is better to serve one audience and calibrate to them, rather than calibrate your offering to match different audiences.

#1 If you are doing 3 vids a day, and constantly try to improve, you're going to get really good really fast.

#2 Then you have channels like Paddy Galloway and Hillier Smith, 1 video per month for a year to half a mil subs. Master-crafted ideas they KNEW would have mass appeal. But, tons of prior experience managing YT's biggest channels. (years doing #1)
