Is WebDesign business really Fastlane ?

For some reason I noticed many members here either learning or building web design business, and I want to know what is the reason behide that ? because I was former owner of web design company , and this business is like any other "average" type business, if you suceed you will make good living and pay your bills and if you fail you gone , with 1 % chance to get some large contract then you will get richer. which kind of same chances of many other businesses. in fact web design these days is very completive, and most people doesnt expect to you alot unless they are large clients.
So again fast liner , why focus on web design business here ?

I was watching Fox school and the other guy who is writing his daily activities, and both seem doing good but non of them is millionaire or even any time soon millionaire
