Is there a feature available similar to Amazon's wishlist?

Amazon offers a wishlist that they can share with friends. Their friends can then purchase things for them, sort of like a gift registry. After it's purchased, the item is sent to the person who created the wishlist. The person who buys the item never sees the other person's shipping address.

I need this feature for my own website and haven't been able to find anything that can do it. Does anybody know of a feature that lets you send a physical product to someone without knowing their physical address? This is a privacy issue.

Sparked a thought... someone should do a bridal/baby registry that isn't linked to a single store. Instead of registering at multiple stores simultaneously, you register on the main site and maybe even has the items ordered through affiliate links. Maybe this exists. All I know is I can't do another project.

In searching for a solution that doesn't give out the shipping address, I cam across wishpot. I'm not sure if they use their affiliate links, however, that would be a great addition.
