Hello, my name is Aleksey, I also go by Alex or my super corny username for everything, "k00ld00dz".

I am a maintenance electrician who loves to play with electronics. I was told I had an engineering mindset, but the reason I am not an engineer is cuz I never believed in traditional schooling like most people do. I know that sounds a bit crazy, but school was hard for me back in the day, and now I just don't see a reason for it. I was never really good with people, I remember I failed my first 3 years of college because I had extreme anxiety issues. Wrote a lot to financial aid because they were gonna drop me. After 3 years of torture, someone told me about an electrical program that I jumped on. For the first time I felt like learning was fun. When I graduated (no I didn't have a ceremony), I never stopped learning since. People thought I was weird when I talked about circuits on break time and wondered why things were the way they were.

I see a dead end with electronics, if I cant fund my hobbies, then they will consume me. I started being curious about investing. I didn't go to the Edward Jones office and put my money in there and forget about it like my buddies persuaded me to do. Instead I found my own online brokers and traded myself. I didn't like going to someone, I like to do things on my own. Maybe when I become wealthy, some tasks will need to be delegated, but I like to do them myself if I can help it. Well right now I'm trading bitcoin for fun and people think I'm crazy and delusional. The truth is, although I work and live in the slowlane, I'm trying hard to stay away from the traditional knowledge to discover a path that everyone is NOT taking. I am trying to avoid them like congested traffic.

I have an acquaintance that dropped his engineering degree for what looks to me like an MLM, I'm not so sure that was good for him, but I wish him the best. I see engineers that stay overtime and are miserable at my work. Nearly everyone talks about the same things - weather, sports, jobs, 401k's, family, savings and retiring at age 1 million. None of these interested me other than do what I have to do what I want to - take something apart to see how it works and hopefully make something that someone cares about.

I would like to say that I am an entrepreneur, but its more like I wish I was. I guess I just want to know how to make my dream of making stuff a reality. However after reading the millionaire fastlane , I realized that its not about doing what I want, but finding what people need! That was one of the many things that stuck from the book. If I can just learn to listen to people and find their problems with a kick butt determination to fix it (of course, also by incorporating the other 4 commandments, and well, everything else in the book), then I'll be rich and only then do what I love to do. And since I suck at talking to people, this dream will now give me a reason to.

I also like to do sound engineering. Its something I've done since.. maybe.. 13 years of age. I never kept track of time. I like computers, but I wouldn't say I am fluent at programming. Takes me forever to do that.

Thats a little bit about me, I am hoping that this forum will help learn where the gaps in my knowledge are at, and how I can become a better "need filler" for people, for millions of people.

Lets get to it!
