Hi Everyone,

I joined this forum mid 2020 after listening to TMF on Audible. I was always a part time lurker, and never really spent too much time on here. I have always done some sort of side work or owned small “businesses” over my career. I have been in the fabrication industry my whole life, with a short amount of time spent in automotive out of high school. I enjoy metalworking and fabrication, and my job really doesn’t feel like work to me. Recently, the company I worked for was bought out by our main customer. The dynamic at the new company is less than desirable, but I am in a position where I report directly to owner and still just maintain the same job duties as I did as manager of previous company. Lately I have really been wanting to get something going on the side again. I have a decent amount of money saved up to get something going, just working on figuring out what that should be. I look forward to engaging with you all, and hopefully find that niche to fill. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Thanks for asking. The transition overall has been pretty easy. Not much drama, other than some of my employees that weren’t happy with the deal. Unfortunately, there’s not much I could do for them and they moved on. I was brought on because of my knowledge and experience, so I am involved in the day to day still.
