Hello Everyone:
Just thought I'd drop a note to say hello to the crew.
A little about me and my entrepreneurial inspiration:
I have had the entrepreneurial dream for most of my adult life. Just prior to graduating from grad/law school (took the slow lane but it did open doors) I signed on with a small oil and gas company and learned about the biz from an old school oil man. This man who was a true millionaire in every sense of the way and taught me the how to operate, setup plays, contracts, etc. It's important to note, he didn't drive fancy cars or wear expensive clothes. Usually a pair of jeans flannel would suffice. Those didn't make him money. He would always say "Barrels of oil in the tank. Let everyone else waste their money but at the end of the day at least I'll have a tank full of oil." By tank full he didn't mean what you put in your car rather a battery of 30k gallon crude tanks in the field pumping money into his pocket. This man was and still is a great mentor.
We eventually sold a good portion of the almost 600,000 acre assets and I went out on my own doing brokerage, o/g deals contracts, etc with a great friend. My wife and I live here in beautiful Denver, Colorado still working on that big deal. You know the one with the extra few zeros…
I look forward to brilliant discussions in the future with the group.
