Hi im just wondering Can there ever be too much Competition in Affiliate Marketing???
Im just wondering because I know key words are the key and the goal is to rank on top 10 of google but can it get to a point where there is too much compitition when it comes to selling Digital products or even physical products???

Even if your in the Google Ad business this question still applies... Also I know back linking is the key to ranking higher in Google but

Will or could google ever change there alterhythem (dont know how to spell) to where back linking doesn't matter????

Im open to any advice or constructive critism...

Thank,
Ruben

Don't put your business at the mercy of Google. They can and will continue to change and tweak their algorithm.
Affiliate marketing is based on an old business model, you're selling a product for a commission. That's it. And like sales you need to engage your prospect. This means forums, social marketing, putting out content and building a list.

So if you rely on google rankings, yes, it could become over crowded. But get better at the other things and I would think you could make some money.

Competition drives price. If a given niche, or keyword for that niche, is highly competitive, it will become more difficult/expensive to rank for it, whether in SEO, paid promotion, or other avenues. Eventually the price will no longer be worth the benefit, and competition will drop. And eventually, competition will drop to the point that the benefit is worth the price, which will bring more people to that niche/keyword, increasing competition and eventually the cost. (all that assumes it's a market with durability, unlike something like "Acai Berries" or other short term fads that tend to have already passed their maximum profit potential by the time competition really heats up.) Competition is a factor of free markets, and like other factors (price, profitability etc.) it tends to be a fluid thing.
