The purpose of this thread is not only for therapeutic reasons but to keep myself focused and accountable. If somehow I stray from the path I set for myself, I give the reader permission to mercilessly berate me with the worst insults that would make convicted killers cry.

But I do.

I have some hot news, lukewarm and cold news. Let's start off with the hot:

  • I fixed a major health problem. My doctor told me my back pain was the result of scoliosis. I told her it couldn't be because I never had any back problems until my restaurant job (which requires a lot of lifting at weird angles and stress on the back). Today, my new chiropractor fixed it! He realigned my back. My pain is gone and my posture is improved. (THANK YOU JESUS!)
  • I'm very sure I aced my second interview with the car dealership. They told me to call them on Monday to see if I got the job.
Now here comes the lukewarm:
  • I got a reply email from a former pro-fighter acquaintance of mine. The email I sent was basically grieving over my body not being able to make it to the pro leagues and wondering how he coped with not being able to compete anymore. His email was REAL. I wish I could share it with the forum but it's very personal. Essentially, don't give up and if you really want it you'll find a way.
  • Some time ago, I left a message with a prominent trainer. All I wanted to know was if I could train with him in his gym (before the whole scoliosis thing). He sent me a text saying to email him and guess where his email address was linked to? ONE OF THE BIGGEST FIGHTING ORGS IN THE WORLD! I had no idea he was a recruiter and he said to send him some videos. Obviously I'm still an amateur but this is a foot in the door!
Now here's the cold:

  • I crashed my parent's car. I was trying to squeeze into a tight parking space but I almost swiped the car to the right of me. I immediately turned to the left and straightened the car but instead of the pressing the brakes I pressed the accelerator. F*ck! I didn't harm any of the cars adjacent to me but I hit a tree and ended up totaling the front. That car has been in three other accidents (none involving me) and most likely we'll have to buy a new car. However, my parents are having their own financial difficulties. I'm not sure how much insurance will cover but I felt so guilty and ashamed that I offered all the money I saved up. $815 is all I have to my name and it's all going to my parents because I f*cked up. I ruined Christmas this year :arghh: This is more fuel to the fire though...

This was my dilemma earlier today:

1) Get back to training and compete again. WIN. Go pro. WIN A LOT. Be a champ.

2) Focus on the fastlane in real estate and blogging on my niche site idea (I also came up with a product!). Make $$$. Become an international playboy.

I was so convinced I had to choose one or the other that I was blind to the third option:

3) Train while pursuing my fastlane interests.

So many historical figures were Renaissance men. What's the difference between me and them? THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE! They eat like I do. They bleed like I do. They shit like I do.

I can have it all! But I have to choose it and WORK TOWARDS IT!

I feel like God's given me a second chance with fighting. I'm going to take it. If I make it, great! We'll all party, do coke off some hooker's titty and have a blast. If not, well, I can at least say I chased my passion... While I'm counting my money from the fastlane

Whatever I do in this life, I know I'll be successful in.

P.S. I wrote a little outline of my goals and when I would accomplish it per Raven Shadow's advice. I have to rewrite it since fighting is now back in my life. Tomorrow, I will update this thread with my goals and how I plan to accomplish them.
