Hello Fastlaners,

So after reading thread:

CHECKLIST: How To Start A Digital Marketing Agency & Hit $5K In Less Than 90 Days

I was going around walking in business to business offering my content marketing services, and a digital marketing agency decided to hire me as an employee. I'm on my third day and getting paid 18/hr. Its a lot of fast pace creative editing work, the CEO expects 1 piece of content every 30 minutes.

What's a better fastlane approach to this? On my website I have 3 packages, Basic/Standard/Awesome $499/$599/$999 monthly which I've already discussed with her.

I accepted the job because I was literally just going business to business talking to managers and employees and this company happened to say yes on the spot after I made them a video in there office right in front of them.
We're going to a restaurant tonight to take pictures and videos for their social media. If things go well Ill still have the job but honestly could care less about it. Basically im telling myself this will be good experience and a ticket into businesses in my area.. something doesnt feel right though..... Am I getting ahead of myself?

My advice is going to come in a little hot, and you can leverage it or not. However, I can see an immediate free win, don't call your expensive tier "Awesome" in the business/marketing world you can only get away with that kind of wording with an established client base. I would recommend using one of the following Premium, Enterprise, or Elite. My preference would actually be Basic/ Premium / Elite in this case.

Secondly, don't try to out kick your coverage. If you're learning or gaining value at that place, and it is not a scam, and they are treating you right, then stay as long as the value skew is in your favor. Personally, I would keep gaining experience and value while working your hustles and minding your own businesses. Even MJ drove Limos before he made his solid pivot, and he used that knowledge to grow. You are in the position to do the same.

Good luck, Gavingonz and remember that the fast lane is about selling value at scale. Make sure you're delivering on that value promise, and keep grinding and leveraging the SCENT framework.

Thanks for the advice Marcus !

Can you elaborate on this?

Sure, my meaning is you have packages listed on your site ranging from 500-1000 bucks. But you’re working for 18 an hour. One of those I likely the value and the other is not. It is not for me to say but given your post that seems a little high. I don’t know the intangibles and if they matter but that’s my observation given the info you provided
