I am a Korean. So I'm very sad that I don't understand this forum very well.
I have an idea that I've been working on recently.
I'm going to keep trying.
I will come back when I can understand the forum due to my English skills.
There are so many things that I don't understand with the translator.
see you again

There's a saying in English, "practice makes perfect."

I think you're doing a lot better than most of us would be doing if the situation were reversed. :)

I am in the same situation, the different is my mother tongue is Spanish. I guess I can say that I have some kind of advantage, but it's hard for me anyway. The good new is I am forced to learn, because almost all of the good contents about business, and how to improved in life (in any aspect) are in English, so I keep going.
My advices are: read a lot of book in English (some are so badly translate to my language), try to participate in English communities (like this) and use tools like the apps (for example, I had been practice with Duoolingo for a while, and that has helped me a lot.

Stay here and read! And read and read! Nobody has learned reading and writing a language by not doing this!

Learn the TOP 100-500 most used words in English. 80% of the content bases on them. Then, start reading as much as you can in this forum. If you find new words, use the words you learned before to describe them. Don't translate

Thank you for your answer . i'm trying now

Also, learn songs in English to get the sound of it. Start with children's songs, then work your way up to country music. You know K-pop, right? Try rapping in English.

Then come back to the forum and read the posts out loud. It works!

Ideas are from this guy: Idahosa Ness (the Mimic Method)

We all have our own journey, it simply is what it is.

If you want to learn english well, my suggestion is to read the classic english books. Popular English Classics Books

I like your zeal!

Do you speak Mandarin as well?

I am looking for a partner to practice my Chinese and I will teach English in return.

I feel for you, English is hard, we have too many words that mean the same thing!

Good luck.

Some people learn English by watching TV shows like Friends.

I can't think of a better way to learn English than The Fastlane Forum. Not only do you pick up the most valuable language in the world but you do it with the most valuable content in the world. Double-whammy. (Google that)
