I have contacted three different webmasters to find out what it costs to get two joomla website templates up and running. I will add the content. One site for lead generation and the other will be the information site servicefly talks about. I'm assuming that once this site is together it can be used over and over.
I'm curious to see what the cost will be. I've got a feeling it will be more than $300. Not that it's that big a deal but I believe to say that it costs nothing is a stretch. I'm not a webmaster so I've got to pay to play this game. I attempted what I thought was a simple template not long ago and it was a nightmare. I spent months on that site only to find out that I loaded it wrong or something and had to start from scratch. It was supposed to be a fun project to get me feet wet. I've learned to take it more serious and get help next time.
I was quoted recently on a site and the cost for a very basic site was $1500 and another $1500 to add a shopping cart. I believe that was something other than a joomla template.
When you have no experience at website construction it's not as easy as it sounds. Home construction I can deal with. To me website construction is like learning another language even when using templates. I started with joomla and I'll probably stick to it for now.
