What is the best early career path to prepare someone for cofounding a B2B SaaS company?

Some say working as a software engineer or product manager at a startup is the best option, others say working in an inefficient industry like construction / waste management / education may be more useful as you will see more unmet needs.

For context, I just graduated from an Ivy League college with a CompSci degree.
