How to apply the change of mindset

hello fastlaners,

i grew up in a community of poor minded people, ignorants of our worth.
as i start learning about life (wealth) i find that my mindset is the main barrier for me to apply whatever i've learned (through books and videos) it cannot be achievable if i cannot change my mindset.

now that i know what i need to do to make it, who i need to be and how i need to act to change my life for better, one thing become very difficult to apply, CHANGE OF MINDSET.

how can one apply what they are learning about changing their ways?

few examples of how we grew up:

- family come first (yes but didn't have kids then), you have to give (to brothers, sisters, uncles, cousins, friends) as you receive.
- if you run into problems, put god first (pray day and night, pray as much as you can)
- it is evil to be very rich (you'll never see the kingdom of god)
- u have to find a steady job, doing business comes second as business is just to feed your family (and i'm talking about food, clothes...)
- rich and famous people are satanists, to make it you have to sacrifice family members and live with rituals
- if you divorce, you become enemies with your ex.

Now that I'm geared to change my life (style and mindset), I'm stuck fighting against the mentalities I grew up with, I'm 37 and started questioning my ways 5 years ago.
