42% on how much?

The UK tax rate is based on earnings.

up to £12,750 = 0%

£12,751 to £50,270 = 20%

£50,271 to £125,140 = 40 %

£125,141 + = 45%

Obviously you only pay on each pound as you go over the threshold, so if you earn £125,141, you'll pay 45% tax on £1 and 40% on the rest.

Corporation tax is 30%

If you get a PAYE paying job, you'll pay national insurance as well, which adds on about 5% on a £12,751 to £50,270 salary.

And dividends are 20%

I used to pay flat 19% in Poland.

Now I mostly pay 8.5% based off my revenue (not net) which with my low costs translates to even less than 19% of net profit.

I can't complain. :)

I don't have a corporation, though, which would be taxed twice.

50%++ tax no matter how you earn it
If sole prop - 50% on net profit if under 10k per month, 60%+ if over 10k (up to 66%)
If corp - two main ways

Normal salary - same rates as a sole prop
Dividend - corp 20% tax on net profit and then 20-30% tax on dividend, max 20kish dividend per year, if you want more then you need to hire or pay yourself more which is even more expensive, total tax is 40-50% so not much better.

It is hell lol. Gonna move asap.

Im from Germany. But if you are rich and don’t need to worry about having no money go to Switzerland. But you won’t get much social help there. As Eu citizen with enough money it is easy to move there. Good chocolate and cheese :)

I guessed by your nickname that you're from Balkan.
If you're Serbian than is better to open in Macedonia.
