Once I get to Texas, I would definitely participate in meetups. I was in Texas for the week and went from Austin to San Antonio to Houston and back to Austin and was surprised on quick the drives where. I expected them to be a lot worse.

Im pretty sure you can have a cigar on the patio at yucatan.

A cigar! wow this is like trick or treat for the adult! Thanks Kak, the patio of Yucatan sounds like a perfect place for a meetup. Thanks for the thread, Atown. However, Tido raised a good question, will we need a reservation at Yucatan?

I seriously doubt it, but Saturday night in that part of the Woodlands gets pretty busy.

I dont think it is really a place we can get reservations. Maybe if we went a half hour earlier we could get a big table easier.

Awesome guys, this is really shaping up, could be some very awesome friendships fostered on Saturday. I know I have grown to become great friends with many people on this forum even from other cities and states and frequently make the effort to hang out.

I am really looking forward to this!!! So I have the following people down for attendance: Runum, Atown, Lakeview, Tido, Speedy, and myself. 6 total is a great crowd.

Special thanks to Runum for offering to drive down, he is the first member I ever met in person and I will say that the first meetup with Runum was pivotal to where I am now. My businesses have completely changed due to the personal connections that came out of this forum starting with him.

I hope we plan to do this often, we can even get a skype group going.

This is awesome! I'm really looking forward to meeting everyone. I know a few of us will be at B&P this year as well, so it'll be nice to know a few people beforehand.

I'll head down to Market Street a little early and grab a beer at Hubbel...They always have some of the best/funkiest beers to try, so I'll swing by Yucatan to see what we can do about a table. Might try to grab one of the fireplaces if it's going to stay cold...

Same here about Runum. Awesome guy, and helped get my brain thinking about this fastlane stuff.

Jealous of yall's hang this weekend. A skype group is a good idea. Let's make this happen in December too.

I'm only two hours out from the Woodlands, and if this becomes a regular thing, I will probably show up at some point...not this weekend though.

Speaking of Cuban cigars, I brought some back from Havana in 2003, hidden in my luggage (shhhhh!). Best smoke I've ever had!

Thanks for organizing this and I hope to meet some of you at something like this sometime!

Looks like we have one more for sure, maybe two. My brother who is starting the brewery with me will be coming, and possibly his roommate. My brother's roommate is also an entrepreneur and a graphics artist who specializes in branding and packaging, so I'm sure he'd be a great addition to the group.
