Hi everyone, first post.
I'm a 20-year-old guy living in small-town Denmark. I aspire to grow businesses, but I don't deem any of my current ideas worthwhile. My friends don't place much interest in my ideas/business aspirations (read: ramblings), and generally speaking, I believe I would expose myself to many more opportunities if I were to move.
So the question remains, where should I move to? What are some 'hotspots' for people looking to start their own businesses? I've been thinking about the Bay Area, but US visa/the insane rent prices are obstacles. I don't know why, but the US appeals to me. Perhaps it is the culture that seemingly has a positive outlook on entrepreneurship (perhaps my perception is false; I have never visited the US).
I have what would be the equivalent of a high school degree with a business/economics emphasis, I guess (gymnasium/HHX). I have considered starting university next year for a business degree, but I would rather just pursue entrepreneurship. I'm very interested in self-improvement, training (specifically bodybuilding, nutritional science, biomechanics, anatomy, physiology, etc.), self-actualization, happiness, general 'optimization' of one's life. I believe I could create products/services/experiences(events) in this field that would be of great value, but I'm not sure how exactly my knowledge could be translated into money.
Where have you guys moved to for business/entrepreneurial reasons? What has been your experience? Where would you think would be worth considering?
Thank you in advance. I look forward to being a part of the community going forward.
Best regards
