Hi, everyone!

I just finished listening to The Fastlane Millionaire, and I'm starting to realize that I need to unlearn a lot of things.

I listened to the audiobook while commuting to my new job (which is an hour drive on a good day, ugh). Each day, the feeling that I've been duped grew as I listened to the book. I started to clearly see the invisible scripts that have kept me in the slow lane.

I've been doing IT support/administration for the last eight years, comfortably accepting my pay raises and bonuses from the previous company I worked for until that comfort was shattered. A bigger business dove in, gobbled us up and displaced everyone. That's when it struck me: I can't let other people control my future, and The Fastlane Millionaire has opened my mind to how I can ensure my own future.

I have no plans to stay at my current job for a long time. I'm going to use the money I'm making now to start planting my money tree and start taking the risks that I've been avoiding for way too long.

I'm hoping that being around like-minded people will give me insight and the motivation to stick to it. I'm looking forward to learning and contributing on this forum.

Ciao!
