Here's a Weird Idea

Yesterday I was at work and my friend said,"I love the smell of [automotive] gas. I wish I could smell gas without it killing me." (Because a car had passed by). Minutes later she said,"I wish there was a air freshener or something that smelled like gas." She wrote a post on Facebook on how she likes gas. It turns out that she's not the only one who likes the smell of gas.

An air freshener that has weird smells is odd but could work. It reminds me of how Jelly beans have weird flavors like moldy cheese, pencil shavings, skunk spray egh!

Just thought that I'd throw that out there

not necessarily. there's more than one brand of sugar, chips, body lotions etc.
Just spin the idea.

It must be challenging to sell candles online, specifically in regards to not being able to smell the product. You have to write some damn good ad copy for someone to envision a smell.

There's competition but none really stick out as "the brand" in that category.

Wow, I would love to reek of Whiskey and Vinyl! It seems like marketing these products to 18-25 year olds on social media would be fairly successful. I wonder how they curate these scents and make it smell realistic?
