My name is Richard, I decided very recently to quit my job here in DC within the next couple of months and move back in with my parents in California to start my business. I'm pretty nervous and afraid but I know that I'm doing the right decision.

It's nice to have this forum and know that I'm not the first or last person to go through this.

Please to meet you all!

Thank you!!

I'm still in the idea phase but exploring SaaS or food

Welcome Richard, where you part of the Federal workforce reductions and took a buyout?

Thank you MJ, love your book.

No, I'm a reporter. I got my Master's in Journalism at Berkeley a couple years ago.

If you don't mind, I'd like to ask:

I'm interested in diving into SaaS. I'm trying to figure out if I should learn how to code or utilize AI or both.

Hey @Richard7 ,
Welcome.

I'm also diving into SaaS but only with AI at this stage for the MVP. I use lovable.
But this is not about the tool itself, but more: do you have a use case? A market?

You can "easily" develop a MVP with Lovable - then you will care about adding features and so on. But Lovable isn't magic (like all the other tools). You need to determine what you want to do, prepare the logic in the database, etc. Trust me, I got stuck 2 weeks because of that.

Also I thought about this project since you are a reporter: - Noodl. May be useful.

Wow thank you! This is all so helpful. I'm definitely struggling to advance past the idea stage. I need to identify a need

I think some of my friends and colleagues have used Noodl before. Certainly seems like a cool tool
