Hey everyone, super excited to join the forum to learn and share!
I live in gorgeous New Zealand (my family came over from Russia in 2001) and love surfing, photography, dirt biking, tennis and (as of recent) coding.
I joined the mighty workforce straight after graduating from Uni as a Forester (yeah...) but found that it wasn't really for me. I then hopped from job to job for the next 8 years. Honestly, I never lasted more than 2 years at a job as it became boring and I wanted to progress a lot quicker than the boss could allow. Although I am very thankful for a steady income, it never felt quite right.
So I left my latest job for the same reason in the pursuit of something more scalable, flexible and interesting than a job prescribed to me by someone else.
What I do now? I work more than I worked in a job lol, but on my own terms (AND it is for free at the moment). I am polishing my JavaScript skills and learning how to market my eBook for kids. Yes, MJ is totally right - writing the book is only half the battle! Distribution is a HUGE part and I am learning how to do that right now. I started with Instagram marketing and plan to use to other platforms in the future, once I master IG.
If you are interested to see what I've been up to, the website is www.kidslearnecommerce.com (I am NOT advertising anything, this is just for your reference and maybe a pinch constructive criticism, that's all).
Thanks for taking the time to read this mini-essay, and I look forward to meeting y'all!
