Hello everyone, I'm excited to be part of this forum. I'm half way through the Unscripted audio book and it's already had a profound impact - thank you @MJ DeMarco!
At the start of the year I left a company I co-founded feeling a dissatisfaction with the "scripted" life I was leading. A scheduled surgery and recuperation period gave me plenty of time to think about what was next. I was in search of my "passion". I read lots of books. I did a lot of soul searching. Still, I couldn't quite shake the feeling of dissatisfaction that seemed to be gnawing at my soul. Then it dawned on me - I didn't need to find one magical "passion"; I'm passionate about a lot of things none of which need to have anything to do with being an entrepreneur. It dawned on me to focus on falling in love with who my potential customers could be and what needs they have, rather than falling in love with what products/services I could offer. Voilà, that small shift in mindset has made me passionate about entrepreneurship again!
On a personal level I love technology (a real geek at heart), I love being a private pilot (flying is a wonderful way to relax), and I love participating in endurance sporting events at unusual locations on the planet (because this planet is stunning and I want to see as much of it as I can).
Looking forward to getting to know you all.
Karen.
