Hello,
I guess it seems pretty standard. But sometimes old ways are best for breaking the ice then new concepts introduced to break the mold.
I'm curently 22, soon to be 23. Business has always been apart of my life due to my dad. I use to ride around and spend most my time from 5-12 with my dad between his businesses. A few summers I was always at the job site with him watching how things are done.
Now my dad is running a successful long term business. Through years of learning from his expertise in the craft and process, and slowly learning the business side of things and gathering contacts and many valuable pieces of information that I would not have obtained anytime soon, I am left in charge of managing the floor for operations between equipment, machinery, and employees.
I wish to still be apart of this, but slowly it's starting to feel more like a 9-5 for me and more like I'm just a slow cog in the machine.
I'm slowly expanding myself into other industries, I have one side business I have started for weekend work for extra cash. I'm hoping soon I can cultivate and learn what works and what doesn't for marketing this, and expand it into a business that I can eventually just manage, but be free to leave and have it operate indenpendently without me, with me just checking in everyday and monitoring performance and taking corrective action if and when needed.
Hello Fastlane, one day I will be merging too on my own sucesses.
