Hello guys,so while on my Fastlane journey,I know that constant education is paramount(in terms of finance, entrepreneurship and self development),as instructed by MJ in his books.
I stumbled on the book called "THOU SHALL PROSPER:Ten commandments for making money" in one of last week's threads.
I started reading it a few days ago,but I must confess that I haven't really bonded with the book in its beginning phase.
As a person,I don't like forcing myself to read anything and so,for those that have read the book,or have something to say about it,I need your opinion concerning this particular book.
So my question is this,"IS IT WORTH THE READ?

Hi Kennypaul,
I read your recommendation and that's what led me to creating a thread on Plagiarism recently. Nuff said.

So let me get this straight.Do you mean the ideas and concepts in the book were copied and not his?

I thought you said you'd read it, you did recommend it recently.
Or are we at cross purposes here lol.

Nope,it wasn't "thou shall prosper" that I recommended(someone else did that) ,it was the "Ten pillars of wealth" by Alex Becker that I recommended.I only started reading "thou shall prosper" recently and that's why I'm still asking that question(is it worth it).Get it now?

Lets be clear, a lot of my concepts are not wholly owned by me.

Some things that I consider my concepts and ideas...

Productocracies, value arrays, value attributes, bro-marketing, f*ck follow your passion, feedback loops (as it relates to entrepreneurship) action-faking, these are just a few off the top of my mind.

Just because 2 authors share the same concept, doesn't mean one stole from the other.

Mike Rowe advocates NOT following your passion, just like me.

Does that mean he stole from me?

No.

In my book there are many concepts which are from other authors-- and in such cases, I attribute the concepts to the author in the prose.

As for this book, I doubt there is anything nefarious here.

Sometimes the truth percolates to the market and in some cases, it might appear that someone borrowed the concepts. Maybe it's just someone else's truth they discovered?

There have been blatant rip-offs of TMF , and then there have been subtle ones.

In any case, this book has been recommended by many folks here.

But that doesn't mean you need to read it -- read what resonates with you, but also read what opens your mind. Don't turn books into your confirmation bias and echo chamber.
