Has anyone used Windows Azure

I was looking to see if anyone has used Window's cloud service Azure for hosting their website. My husband thinks it is the coolest thing ever, but I am concerned with the cost. The ability to grow with the cloud service is supposed to be unbeatable but it is intimidating when you are just starting out. A major pitfall to not starting with the cloud is if you want to switch in the future a large chunk of your website will have to re-coded, so I've been told.

Creating the website is my husband's job and mine is designing it so I don't really know all the technical parts of website building. I'm just hoping for some input on recommended hosting services.
