Hello @MJ DeMarco , hello everyone,
First and foremost, thank you for allowing me to be part of this community.
I read both of your books, two of the best book I ever read, particularly having read almost all the books you referred to, such as the 4 hour work week, rich dad, poor dad, Money mastes the game, among others.
On my particular case, having read The Millionaire Fastlane allowed me to start changing my mentality on how to build a real business plus I totally agree with the description of the side walk and slowlane.
I've always felt a gap between the life of everybody around me and the life I want to live.
I knew some of the things I didn't wanted but The Millionaire Fastlane brought clarity to all the confusion in my head.
This book (TMF ) opened my eyes and allowed me to stop investing in Wall street.
Despite my engineering background, I was blind to the maths behind the Slowlane.
Thinking back, I believe it was out of greed and desperation.
Unscripted , allowed me to see further into your way of seeing the world which I agree in almost all the points.
It also showed me that I have to create a productocracy instead of chasing money.
Indeed, this book allowed me to avoid the mistake of creating an "Amazon business", which was my project right before I read the book.
So thank you very much!
Now I have an idea for a product that may answer the commandment of NEED.
But before I can present it to the market, I have to develop some skills in order to create a MVP (minimal viable product).
I'm a mechanical engineer and I have to develop some programming skills.
I 'm taking the hard way this time, no more shortcuts.
I currently have a full-time job.
@MJ DeMarco knowing you were in a similar situation to mine -developing a business while having a full-time job- I have two questions for you.
First one, having a side job to pay the bills, rent and food, how many hours per day did you managed to work on your business on average?
Second one, you said that customer service is king -which I agree- and that you used to answered emails within minutes and phone calls without auto responder to violate the customers expectations.
How did you managed to pull this off while having a side job?
Furthermore, I hope this forum can become kind of a collective mentor for my journey since I don't have anyone in my life that's qualified.
I don't think I have much to offer compare with many other members and the current stage of my journey, but I'll gladly share everything I know.
Finally @MJ DeMarco , I would like to have the privilege of thanking you in person someday, maybe during a fastlane summit
I wish you all an AWESOME day!!!
