Hi Everyone,
I currently have shares in a business in South Africa, we import and sell energy meters. It has been getting very successful lately. We sell about 15 units at 600 USD profit per unit.
The problem is I only have a 40% share in the business. Also, what happens if everyone that needs the meters already bought them? It is mainly for electricians and solar companies. The market in South Africa is not that big about 6 million people in the middle to upper class.
I currently live in Germany, my business partner still runs the operations in South Africa.
I was thinking of importing and selling the energy meters here in Germany and Europe as well, first on Amazon, then on my own e-commerce website. Also thinking of selling multiple brands of meters.
I am unsure if it will work. Is it worth trying? How can I test the market and need here without investing too much time and money? I really do not want to spend time and money on something that will not be successful.
