I spoke about this at the Fastlane Summit...

The dangers of "perfect is the enemy of good" and "done is better than perfect."

If you want "good results", shooting for good statistically probably won't do it.

Watch the video to find out what will...

@carlissa91 also had a question about excellence during our last INSIDER conference call so hopefully this helps the thought process.

Wow, thank you so much @MJ DeMarco for going into depth with this topic and making a video! Speaking of Youtube, I seen @Valier video, The untold truth about money. I thought it was amazing he gave you credit so others can find you and this ties into your drive to execute with excellence. Your work speaks for itself and others will advertise for you. You have a powerful framework. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks!

Yes, perfect example of a productocracy...

Someone is recommending my work without my intervention, heck, I didn't even know James was here.

"Good" work is the best advertising ever. Period!

It would be cool to see @MJ DeMarco and @Valier collaborate something. Valier is getting a lot of attention but 80-90% of his content is gathered from MJ's books and forum, other than the editing. Valier is like the overweight coach telling you what you need to succeed to be fit, while MJ has the fit body but lacks maybe the acting and editing skills to really get his message to explode. I know it's great advertising and of course it would be work that may not be necessary for success on either part, but it would be awesome!

Good is better than perfectionism.:smile2:
With anything, even creative work, there are standards for excellence.
But the obsession with high standards, sometimes, yields mediocre results.
Right?

Yes, those of us perfectionists know it can easily become your biggest detriment if you get carried away
