My wife and I have some college friends who have a son with type I diabetes. He is raising money for research through a contest at JDRF to design a funny car which will be used in an NHRA race. The top five fund raisers will have their designs voted upon. Although he would be thrilled to win, he would be more excited to reach his $5,000 goal. I told them that I would write an article and place it online (I have been writing hubs at HubPages). I have done this and have placed the link at the end of this post. On the article I have the link to his donation page. If you feel so inclined to view the article and donate, please do. If not, that is OK as well. I simply ask that you remember him and those others with health issues in your thoughts. I am blessed with six healthy children, and my wife and I also are very healthy. We have donated already and will donate again as the end of the contest on August 14th draws near.
