Hi there Everyone,
I'm 42 and been reading a lot of posts for quite awhile. I've looked at lots of different websites but the quality and wealth of information on this site is astounding.
I've been passionate about wealth creation from an early age and had a passion for real estate, whether it was flipping, wraps, or quick renos. I had a passion for reading and only have just rediscovered it and loved books from "The Millionare Next Door" to "Thinking Big" to all The Rich Dad Poor Dad books,
I have three Children from 15 to 20. That 17 year relationship ended about 5 yrs ago which basically rendered me nearly penniless cause i wanted my children to have it all basically. My mind went numb for a few years. I was doing mundane nightshift, but the money was good. I then met a girl and fell in love...
I scrapped enough money together through loans etc and decided to buy a small franchise in which I thought would be a vehicle to create more income. At the same time I was working nightshift and running the business of a day. I got quite rundown but was determined to get back on my feet but in turn I became quite sick. I then made the mistake of my life by trusting my partner at the time to do all the book keeping and banking. Well within a few months all my hard earned money had been gambled away. Money that was ment for trade creditors was just gone. I was in a huge hole. That made me so depressed, cause of the money, cause of a supposseably great relationship turned to shit.... Then I decided to quit so I could actually work the business more.
That happened over 18months ago and been advised many times to go Bankrupt. But that eats away at my Integrity!! Ive been trying to fight & fight and keep going. It's been tough going but in a way I'm glad what's happened cause it's made me stronger, smarter & just re-ignited a passion I once had. If I go Bankrupt then at least I've given it my all and paid back as much as possible. It was all my fault and believe it happened to enlighten me. It's tough but hey there are many worse people of in this world like the quadraplegic down the street or whatever.
I've loved the threads by Snowball & others on Poker. And already purchased a number of books on how to play it. I have the resilience and patience so thought that would be a good start to begin my multiple streams of income
