Fundraising assistance

Hello fellow fast laners,
Let me tell you a bit about myself as it will assist in answering the question. I am a male and 22 years old. I am a student/model attending classes and training courses which are preparing me for the International modeling and talent association convention in los Angeles in January. This convention is where I will be competing against other talent. The competitions range from high fashion to physique body modeling. I am going through the classes and working full-time. I However need to raise $3000 as I have managed to pinch pennies and save $2000. My question to you guys is I am new to fundraising and donations. How do I go about completing/performing tasks so I can raise the funds to go on this trip and life experience? Any other ideas or help is greatly appreciated.

How many people do you have as friends on facebook or followers on twitter? Network with them and use a company like Indigogo or gofundme and push that to all of your friends. You will have to be very forthcoming and outright about your intentions so people know exactly why they are giving you money. Other than that, write a pamphlet about a college course your taking as a "Quick Reference Guide" and sell it for $5 bucks each or something of that nature.
