I go by Ivex... why?
Well between this username and my logo, it gives off some New World Order kinda vibes which is amusing, it's like an inside joke. If you ever see a large corporation with a logo like this, it's just me messing with the conspiracists.
I went from £0 at the start of 2020 to around £4.5k ($6.3k) a month in Q1 of 2021.
I'm not quite at the "hero" stage yet but we'll see. I truly started from 0. I grinded out matched betting (not actual gambling, look it up if you haven't heard of it) with some money left from my student loans and invested that money into ads for an Instagram page.
Now that page has over 400,000 followers and is in the investing/entrepreneur niche and is my primary source of revenue. I see a clear path (or should I say road) to 1,000,000 followers and $10k+ a month. From there, I can outsource everything but the branding element of the IG business and focus on something new: YouTube?? E-commerce store in the same niche?? An app related to wealth building (I have ideas)??
I read MJ's book last week as part of a 7 Books in 7 Days video I made and it was definitely the most enjoyable read that week. It spoke to me, much more than the slowlane books I'm used to reading. The thing is I'm not so naive that I think a penny stock or an alt coin would make me rich, and I constantly had people telling me to cash out on my IG page because the Zuck could decide to get rid of me at any stage. Between these two things I went with a mostly safe portfolio (except some Bitcoin and Ethereum which has scarily made itself a very large position over the last year and a half), and I took more out in salary than I was re-investing in the business.
The book is inspiring me to change that. I want to push to 1m followers as fast as possible as I know this will be my ticket to financial freedom. I'll be able to focus on other projects, live where I want, contribute to my investment portfolio without worrying about money.
I hope I can make some interesting and valuable contributions to the forum!
