A few months back I was looking to make the change from PC to Mac. I spent time researching what I would need to know, do etc. to make the change, and if the change should even be made. One question I had that no one could answer had to do with more than one computer accessing the internet on one Cingular 3G card.
The people at the Apple store didn't know and the people at Cingular said no. Well, I found out you can by doing it and here's how.
First I am assuming you have laptops. I have a Macbook Pro and a Dell laptop. I put the AT&T 3G card in the Mac and get it online. I turn on the Airport on the Mac and then go to System Preferences and choose Internet and inside there I chose sharing. Now my Mac is broadcasting it's signal and the wifi on my Dell picks it up and both computers are now on the net.
I don't know that this is the best practice for regularity, since there could be issues with someone else picking up the signal too, but if it's something you need to do at times, you can.
