Morning everyone,

Just a quick intro here. NYC area, 37 y/o male. I've successfully funded a production alcohol business (founded 2017) and slowly failed (no bankruptcy) and closed the business in 2024. I found it, in hindsight, to be a great opportunity better than any college degree could give. I failed in so many ways that I make parallels and figure out new nuggets of wisdom weekly from it. My own little failure goldmine! For the first 8 months I thought it was a god-damned waste of time. Big depression, blah blah. Got over it. Reframed my mindset.

Starting a tech-driven home improvement contracting business in NYC on January 1st (business registered, bank account opened, insurance purchased, license paperwork in). I own 100% of the business. Starting scrappy. Plan in place. Focused now on starting it with that mindset of copy/pasting the idea to other cities. The major questions to be answered will be answered on the ground, customer facing.

Anyways, hope to meet some great people here. Looking forward to contributing to this community.
