Thought I'd celebrate by building my first technology company & developing a brand... and figuring out how to bring it to market!
First off, let me introduce you to:
Augmensis Technology Group Limited
It's a technology research and development company specialising in hardware and software applications for business and home use.
Goals
- Build on experiences from selling to the Rasberry Pi market & grow some initial feed capital.
- Expand product lines to own branded products, linked in with existing offers (i.e. Augmenis Electronics branded SD cards for the RPi, alongside the existing SanDisk product line. [Thanks for the idea Amail, I'll be testing it in a month or so once my second sample order comes in!]
- Get consistnt sales, either to leave my JOB and/or employ my first employee to take over whilst I reinvest my time on finding new avenues.
- Learn as I go along!
You guys have been a massive help on the fastlane forum for me. All your stories, advice and input have cerainly given me the confidence to take steps towards my own business ventures, regardless of whether its a success or a massive failre (hopefully more of a success though!). I dread to think how long it would have been if I never found MJ's book and of course, the forum!
For now, I'm booked in to talk to the local council around business startups in the area and advice aound some of the damned British Red Tape. Should be meeting with them on the 5th Sept if al goes well. From there, its forming the company as a legal entity and repeating everything I've learnt over the past few weeks
If you guys have a spare moment, I could really do with some feedback on my logo design! Built it in MS Word whilst at "work" as we don't have anything more advanced than XP's Paint program -_-.
