I'm 25 years old. My business just cracked bringing me 6 figures and will keep growing if I keep doing the bare minimum (less than 10hr/week). (Progress thread). I'll probably put in above average effort till the end of the year and make even more money while building a team to handle the stuff I currently have to do so that I'm free of being called in every time I take a day off for some stupid emergency.
I could sit back, relax, and enjoy life. That just feels wrong though. I miss the fire in my belly I had when I was 18-21; so much ambition and drive. My values have changed, I don't want the money, status, and power. I don't see the point of it beyond creature comforts and giving me freedom from basic worries. Now half the time I begrudgingly go to work for the sake of my employees. Anytime something stressful happens at work, I wonder why I even bother; I make fricking art tools.
I volunteer a lot. Helping people is really satisfying, but the causes don't really speak to me. It's mostly helping homeless people, some women's shelter they keep asking me to volunteer at but I feel weird being the only guy at, and helping the middle & high schoolers at church.
Relationships would be nice, but I don't relate to most people. I don't care about sports to relate with dudes, and most women I meet make me want to bang my head against a wall.
Idk, just a frustrated rant. I should be grateful for being blessed with a situation better than most. I want a purpose. An adventure, that's challenging and helps people. I showed up to work today, ran payroll and other busy work, then spent all day watching a mediocre cop show. It all just feels pointless.
