It is not my intent to start a political discussion, so please keep any response focused away from elections and/or candidates. That said, we had a candidate win in Iowa who favors the Fair Tax. I only reference this candidate and his view to ask the question, what if, and what does this mean for us?

Diane mentioned in another thread we may face both a Federal sales tax and a Federal income tax, which is what the Fair tax could mean for us.

Is it really possible for the president to put the IRS out of business? And if one could, what might that mean in future years, when that person is no longer in office? How does that effect us both on a personal level and on a business level, and what do we do? Thoughts?
