I don't see a lesson here? #landfill

The lesson is that she's proud of her parents, or something.

This isn't facebook OP. Making America great again starts from the ground up, not the top down.

I thought it was a cool lesson in the difference between the rich and the poor. On paper the rich man might be more broke than the poor man but In reality the rich guy owns multiple businesses and homes and uses debt as a tool to become more wealthy.

I also wanted to post it because everyone here hates debt with a raging passion.

I also liked how extreme it was. 8 Billion in debt.

Interesting concept. There is a big difference between good and bad debt. I suppose lots of slow-lane people only know about the bad kind.

I like debt.

I didn't see a lesson in this video.

Or at least, the lesson wasn't the difference between how the rich and the poor see debt.

Instead it was just a description of how dire Trump's financial situation was at one point.

When he was 8 billion in debt and didn't have the cashflow to support it, that wasn't a good thing.

Meh.

Debt, like money in general, is just a tool.

Debt, like money in general, is neither good nor bad.

Both can get you in real trouble if you lose control or don't respect them.

Team producer uses debt to gain leverage they otherwise wouldn't have, and turns that leverage into income producing assets that allow them to buy the life they desire.

Team consumer uses debt to buy the life they desire but didn't earn, in exchange for their indentured servitude.

I like the 'Team producer' and 'Team consumer.' Did you hear that from somebody or make that up yourself?

This is a good post. This sounds like the point OP was just trying to make.

What a novel concept.

My sidewalk ex-gf, that had 50k in student loans, gave money to every homeless person that asked. I always told her the homeless guy had a higher net worth than her and that she should stop until she got her finances in check. She didn't even know what net worth was :|
