Hi Everyone,
I am really excited to be here on the fastlane forum and get started on this new journey. I happened to hear about The Millionare Fastlane book on a reddit thread and decided that I would try reading it. I feel like my eyes are being opened for the first time to the real opportunity and potential that is out there. For context, I am a 36 year old male and have been married for 12 years. I have 2 kids and currently we are struggling to get by. My wife and I both work in youth ministry and I love it but need more income. One of the biggest things that I love about ministry is the freedom that i get to spend with my kids. The push to get a normal 9-5 job is all around but I just can't make that trade. Currently my wife works full time and I part time and now istead of looking how to find something else I want to use my off time to create a passive income stream to help us pay our debt, buy a house, go on vacations, and enjoy our family time.
I have felt like a failure and trapped because I didn't finish college. I took a job working for a mortgage company and I was miserable, it was a great opportunity but i felt trapped. Since then anytime I look to get ahead I just shutdown because so many of my friends have their careers and houses and seemingly everything. And I just feel stuck. TMF has really helped open my eyes to how negative my self talk has been, that I can do this. I have hope of providing for my familiy and I am thankful to get started.
