I know getting a job is not technically fastlane but it is often a necessary evil and can provide you with the ablity to learn an industry or business from the inside on their dime or provide start up capital while you moonlight. Given the current job market I would like to see what ideas or methods others have used to get a job when in need. I am sure there are plenty of people on this forum that would benefit from this advise and information given by the people who actually hire.
I am looking to find a developer, rehabber to work for ideally but anything to help build my network would work.
Some ideas are keyword stuffing your resume to hopefull rank higher by the corporate AST screeners obviously without sounding bad. example (instead of financial analysis you could say financial modeling or vise versa depending on what they stress in their add assuming you can do both)
I have been talking to anybody I meet that has anything to do with real estate (networking).
-I have met some interesting people so far with some even more interesting success stories.
I am searching real estate listings for currently rehabed homes etc. to try and identifiy some rehabbers working in my area.
- found one solid lead the other day and I am waiting for more info but I am not sure if I will be able to get intouch with the owner doing the rehabs.
Begin cold calling homebuilders or developers etc. similar to what others have recomended.
