I think this may have already been discussed in another thread, so please forgive me if it has (I couldn’t find it in the search…)

I’m wondering what websites, magazines, newsletters and economic indicators you look at on a daily/weekly/monthly basis?

I’m trying to improve my overall financial markets knowledge and need to start reading “what the pros read.†I understand the basics of finance, etc, but I’ve realized how important “trends†are to investing and creating wealth. Real estate development is great, but not if the market conditions do not support that kind of activity. I’m trying to figure out ways to stay in the loop on current economic conditions.

I currently read the WSJ and the Economist, but along with reviewing this site, that’s about it.

Curious to hear what others read that may be helpful in my (and all of our) pursuits for financial intelligence.

:thankyousign:

Best,
Sid23

I follow some of the ETF's like gold, banking, dollar, oil, natural gas, and a few others. I also follow the cost of copper, lumber, and various currencies. I subscribe to various newsletters, both paid and free, I scan news sites like Financial Times, Bloomberg, Yahoo Finance, and a few others. And of course, I follow the US govt policy decisions as they tend to impact the whole world. Last week's news about the Dubai defaults offered short term trading opportunities, but Dubai defaults don't have a huge impact on macro trends. The US, EU, China and Russia however do have big impacts. I also use Google alerts to keep up with certain companies I follow.

I never liked Barrons very much but I got a free subscription with all my credit card points and I'm sold -- they've been right on many things this year. Ill probably renew even if I need to pay.
