Domain name....then?

Hi all,
I just bought a domain name that I plan to mostly use as a site to keep/share my photos. I am into photography, so I wanted a site which was mine, rather than a blog somewhere. I bought the domain from namecheap, for 10 years. So far that is all I have done. So, a few questions.
1. How important is it to register the other suffixes like .net, .org, .me, etc?
2. Now that I have a domain name, what do I do next?
3. Where should I get hosting? Bluehost, Dreamhost?
4. What should I use to make my website? WordPress?
5. Any other suggestions?

I am new to web design and owning a site. I have no clue what to do next :smx4:

Again, I am just using the site for myself, for now. Maybe in the future after I learn more, I can make it a business type site. I think the name is pretty good, and was a little surprised it was available.
