Different View on GM Problems

He alleges that this time is different because of CDO and options trading. That many people want GM to fail because that's their bet, GM failing makes them wealthy. My question, is this part of GM's doing or is this outside the realm of the GM management's scope? Maybe makes the case for you to keep your company private?
