After reading the first few pages of MJ's new book, I realized i haven't had a mental assessment of my 'delusions' or beliefs in a long time.

So I defined what success looks like for me, what I think I need to do to achieve it and the beliefs as to why I'm not there yet.

I think some of the beliefs are false and some are closely aligned to reality. But i'm interested in what people think are limiting beliefs.....

beliefs as to why I haven’t yet realized the above at a young age…
  1. I need more years of experience at my craft (sales/marketing)
  2. I need a co-founder to succeed
  3. I need to build a business
  4. I need to build a business based on a need
  5. I need to understand how early startups/businesses are built and grown
  6. I need to wait a few years to spot a need/gap in the market
  7. I need to build a business in an industry/market I understand or have some level of familiarity in
What are your beliefs/limiting beliefs?

I never said this in my new book ... I think that's a good start to one of your limiting beliefs, or poison pens.

I know you never said that, I just included that as an example of limiting belief

Your bolded text is pretty wordy. I thought that those were your newfound beliefs from the book as well...

I shortened the original post, so hopefully it clears it up for people.

I'm thankful to @MJ DeMarco came out with those first few pages of the book.

You're a kind man MJ!

The greatest business and personal move I made was being a solo founder.

The greatest business and personal mistake I made was not having a co-founder.

I know that may not make sense, but my budding cannabis media empire will forever have one founder and I'm looking forward to reaping the benefits, but not having an equal to offload, get outside views, help with critical decisions and also for accountability is immense and one day look forward to having a cofounder with new ventures after I exit out of cannabis in 10 years.

A delusion I have is that other authors and course creators and other webmasters are too big to compete with. But I realize we are equals and I can compete with even the biggest brands just fine even as a beginner.

There aren't really experts. It is just how they market themselves as experts that we hold them up as larger than they are. In reality, most people's expertise are google-able.

Can we talk about the fact that he went to the profiles of each person that liked MJ's post the other day and called them losers or told them they weren't going to make it?

Do we really want someone hanging around that's going to lash out when he makes a small mistake and gets called out on it?
